Enterprise Consulting has been contracted to lead the IFS implementation at North American Network (NAN) by providing expertise in Manufacturing, Inventory and Purchasing as well as Project Management. The implementation has been split into three separate stages or Rollouts (with four companies going live at the end of each stage). The first two rollouts have been completed and the third is nearing their Go-Live.

Enterprise Consulting has implemented IFS Partner Product, Novacura, at Mistras Group in Princeton Junction, NJ. Mistras, a provider of industrial services, is using Novacura as a mobility platform for their 1000+ Field Service Technicians. The technicians utilize a simple Novacura “application” deployed on their smartphones to log time and material against IFS Work Orders while working in the field.

Enterprise Consulting performed a review of current business processes with company employees at two Young Innovations sites: Young Dental In Earth City, MO and Microbrush in Grafton, WI. The Output was the creation of a full set of work instructions for all aspects of IFS use. Where appropriate, process improvements were made and documented. We also improved the basic Shop Order processes at both locations.

Enterprise Consulting, a Services Partner with IFS, is implementing an IFS Apps 9 upgrade at Lou Rich in Albert Lea, MN. In full cooperation with the IFS upgrade team, Enterprise Consulting is managing the complete upgrade through all phases by providing necessary technical and functional expertise and Project Management, as well as uplifting all third party integrations and partner products (Novacura, Addovation, etc.)

Caltrol is a member of the North American Network which is implementing IFS Applications 8 across 12 of its member sites. Caltrol is unique in that they are migrating from a different database from the other 11 NAN members and requested that Enterprise Consulting help give them a head start. During a week of on site preparation consulting Order Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Inventory were covered.

Enterprise Consulting developed a solution for Service and Asset Maintenance that utilizes IFS Document Management to maintain the actual instructions and drawings and then uses object connections to attach the documents to the standard IFS jobs. The standard IFS jobs were connected to Preventative Maintenance actions (PMs) allowing the documents to flow through to the PMs.

Harry’s Fresh Foods, located in Portland, Oregon, initiated the upgrade to capture the functional and user-experience benefits of being on IFS Applications 8. The project required updated infrastructure, rewriting of Crystal Reports and significant training for both Administration and regular Users that was provided by Enterprise Consulting using both web and live training.

Enterprise Consulting provided virtual IFS Kanban training to Contec to assist in their inventory reduction initiative. Contec was interested in applying current manual Kanban techniques through IFS to maximize the systematic benefits that IFS offers. The training was split into two sessions to ensure a discussion based, value added approach by minimizing the number of participants in each session.

Enterprise Consulting and Ebara International have worked together to optimize Ebara’s IFS Project and Engineering processes. The IFS support from Enterprise Consulting was provided on an “On-Demand” basis, allowing Ebara with a simple and easy method to quickly request and receive the focused IFS Projects and Engineering support they needed in a timely manner.

Experitec, one of twelve individual companies of North American Networks (NAN), has engaged Enterprise Consulting to walk through a series of base artifacts which are part of the “common design” documentation put in place for the company-wide NAN IFS Implementation Project. These artifacts include the Process Maps, Business Case Scenarios, Work Instructions and Basic Data as defined in the IFS “NAN Gold” environment.

Enterprise Consulting has developed a fast and efficient way of creating a project within IFS from a customer order line in just one click. The automated process saves approximately four minutes of user time by automatically creating the project, copying the WBS template, approving it, releasing the activities and connecting to the customer order line in just one click.

This involved working with teams in both the UK and USA to come up with a standard global process that would be consistent but allows for small localizations. Process improvements and user automations were then developed to allow projects to be created in a single click from within a customer order, allowing different templates to be selected based on product criteria.
