Enterprise Consulting Helps Hotstart Optimize Their Use of IFS Applications™ 9

Hotstart Thermal Management of Spokane, WA has a very strong IFS Core Team, but their last upgrade to IFS Applications™ 9 did not provide for or implement any new functionality available in the new version of IFS Applications™. Most Hotstart staff were performing their daily activities much like they had always done and were questioning why this was so. As is usually the case, this caused frustration leading to offline data silos and general inefficiencies. Hotstart management knew that this situation was not good for the business and wanted to find someone to help fix the issues.

Enterprise Consulting was recommended by IFS and was engaged to provide a solution to the problem. An end-to-end Process Review was performed to determine where Hotstart could improve on or add IFS Applications™ 9 functionality to streamline their business processes. The on-site Process Review questioned the reasons for existing processes and recommended alternative solutions where applicable. New IFS Applications™ 9 functionality was highlighted and discussed when appropriate. As part of the Process Review, an on-site Discovery Workshop was conducted to interview the Hotstart IFS Core Team members representing all functional areas. Pain points, processes and questions were discussed, followed by suggestions/answers from Enterprise Consulting. Areas and topics needing additional IFS Applications™ 9 Training or Workshopping were identified and documented.

Upon completion of the Process Review and Discovery Workshop, Enterprise Consulting delivered a detailed analysis and recommendations report that outlined all the areas within Hotstart Thermal Management that could be greatly improved by a follow-up IFS Applications™ 10 Optimization Project. Hotstart agreed to move forward with the recommendations.
