Enterprise Consulting Assists Pure Fishing with Migrating Asia-Based IFS Instances to New Location

Google cannot crawl the images on a website. Google crawls the words on your site. That’s why it’s important (for SEO) to give blog post images captions. You won’t display the captions (to keep things looking clean). I’m only displaying this caption…

Pure Fishing had a problem. Their current IFS Applications™ 8 instance and environment, located in mainland China, was experiencing performance issues, memory constraints and the inability to support a growing user base around the world. Pure Fishing engaged Enterprise Consulting to help remedy those issues.

The plan Enterprise Consulting devised was to migrate the entirety of the Pure Fishing IFS Applications™ footprint from an on-premise location in China to a Cloud Hosted location in Singapore that allowed for better overall user performance, including for their US location. In addition to the IFS Applications™ server migration, Enterprise Consulting assisted with upgrading Pure Fishing’s unsupported version of Oracle to a newer supported version.

Before any of this work could be completed, Pure Fishing needed to find an IFS Applications™ Hosting Partner and location. Enterprise Consulting helped Pure Fishing select a suitable Hosting Partner by providing needed sizing and performance metrics.

Once the environment was available, Enterprise Consulting engineers successfully migrated the servers and upgraded Oracle. Pure Fishing is now fully operational and all users are experiencing the needed performance improvements with IFS Applications™.
