Matrix - NDI Leverages Enterprise Consulting’s Industry Knowledge to Select Their New ERP Platform

Google cannot crawl the images on a website. Google crawls the words on your site. That’s why it’s important (for SEO) to give blog post images captions. You won’t display the captions (to keep things looking clean). I’m only displaying this caption…

Matrix Communications, a Telecom products supplier, and Network Design, Inc. a Telecom services provider, realized that by merging companies their combined product and services offerings would quickly become a force in the Telephony industry.  Matrix-NDI was formed to do just that. For this newly combined operation to be able to manage their expected growth, a single across-the-board ERP solution was required.

Matrix-NDI set out to find an industry expert who could assist them with selecting an ERP Platform. After a detailed search, Matrix-NDI selected Enterprise Consulting for the breadth of their knowledge and demonstrated results. The two original companies, Matrix Communications and Network Design, each had different legacy ERP Platforms. Enterprise Consulting’s first task was to determine if either platform could properly support the combined companies. Using the proven Enterprise Consulting methodology, both legacy ERP solutions (and their respective providers) were analyzed against a detailed Matrix-NDI requirement set. It became clear that neither legacy ERP could properly serve both the product and services aspects of Matrix-NDI’s business needs, so the selection process was extended to the open ERP market. Utilizing the same Matrix-NDI requirement set, Enterprise Consulting identified a pool of ERP options, created RFPs, and provided detailed demonstration scripts to the top three ERP solutions, based on RFP responses. Demonstrations were performed, references checked, and upon selecting a finalist (Acumatica), contracts were negotiated and signed, all with the expert guidance of Enterprise Consulting.

In addition, Enterprise Consulting served in a key advisory role to Matrix-NDI throughout the Acumatica Implementation process. Matrix-NDI went live on the new end-to-end Acumatica platform in June of 2020, and they are now focused on achieving the business goals the selected solution supports.
