Enterprise Consulting Provides Instron with Automatic Project Creation Application for IFS

Enterprise Consulting has developed a fast and efficient way of creating a project within IFS from a customer order line in just one click. The automated process saves approximately four minutes of user time by automatically creating the project, copying the WBS template, approving it, releasing the activities and connecting to the customer order line in just one click.

Instron, a manufacturer of test equipment, has been using the automation since going live on IFS in July 2015. The process uses two classification fields set at the sales part to determine the type of project and the template on which it is based. The project is then automatically approved and all the activities within it are released, allowing the customer order line to be connected to a single activity at the very last step. The process in manual form typically takes an average of four minutes and consists of 37 clicks in four different screens.
